The GCMU is committed to becoming a global network of innovative and application-oriented metropolitan universities. It aims to provide a platform for metropolitan universities worldwide to work together on comprehensive and sustainable academic collaboration, enhance mutual understanding and friendship, and develop dialogues for joint education programmes, scientific research, cultural exchange and sharing. By utilising the strength of its member universities, encouraging mutually beneficial sharing of resources, and complementing members’ capabilities and objectives, the GCMU seeks a sustainable future for metropolitan universities and their cities.
