University of Évora Delegation Visited CityU to Promote High-quality Development of the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory

Professor António Candeias and Associate Professor Ana Teresa Caldeirs, the heads of the China-Portugal Joint Laboratory of Cultural Heritage Conservation Science supported by the Belt and Road Initiative (hereinafter referred to as the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory) at the University of Évora, visited City University of Macau (CityU) and were warmly received by Rector Jun Liu. The guests visited the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory at CityU. Representatives from CityU, University of Évora, and Soochow University held discussions via video conference to promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory.

In order to facilitate the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory, Prof. Wang Po Hsun, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Innovation and Design at CityU, Professor António Candeias, head of the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory at the University of Évora, and Professor Wu Yongfa, Dean of the Gold Mantis School of Architecture at Soochow University and the director of the Belt and Road Joint Laboratory, signed a tripartite cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective parties.

Pursuant to the cooperation agreement, the three parties will enhance collaboration on scientific research projects, academic conferences, and paper publications to achieve high-quality development of the laboratory. They will establish an efficient communication and exchange mechanism, promote annual meetings, and strengthen cooperation in areas such as student interactions, course and training, academic exchanges, and sharing of the latest information in the field of cultural heritage preservation.
