Nantong University Vice President Xu Jun and Delegation Visit CityU to Explore Collaboration Opportunities in Talent Cultivation and Research Studies
A delegation from Nantong University (NTU), led by Vice President Xu Jun, recently visited City University of Macau (CityU) and was received by Rector Jun Liu and Vice Rector Zhou Wanlei, Dean of the Faculty of Data Science. The two sides held an in-depth exchange on talent cultivation, research collaboration, faculty and student exchange, and talent recruitment.

Rector Liu warmly welcomed Vice President Xu and his delegation. He reviewed the collaboration and achievements between the two universities under the framework of the Global Consortium of Metropolitan Universities (GCMU) and introduced the latest teaching and research accomplishments of CityU. Vice Rector Zhou then presented the history, discipline development, faculty team, external exchanges, and industry-academia collaboration achievements of CityU.
Vice President Xu Jun shared the unique disciplinary characteristics, industry-academia-research collaborations, and international development of Nantong University, emphasizing the academic focus on the integration of industry and education as well as international education. He expressed hope to explore more cooperation opportunities with CityU in fields such as data science, business and economics, humanities and social sciences, and health.

Both parties engaged in extensive discussions regarding future cooperation opportunities and directions, expressing a great interest in strengthening collaboration in talent development, student exchange, and research cooperation. They also aim to leverage complementary strengths to jointly apply for national research projects and co-organize academic conferences. Additionally, CityU hopes to encourage academic staff from both institutions to visit each other through a visiting scholar mechanism, thereby promoting academic collaboration.
