CityU and ECNU Establish Training Base to Cultivate Chinese Language Educators in Portuguese-speaking Countries and Regions

A delegation led by Prof. Jun Liu, Rector of City University of Macau (CityU), visited the East China Normal University (ECNU) to promote high-quality development in Chinese language education in Portuguese-speaking countries and regions. President Qian Xuhong warmly welcomed the CityU delegation, who then visited the Shanghai Institute for AI Education and the Institute of Global Chinese Language Teacher Education.

During the visit, Rector Liu and President Qian signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective institutions to establish the “Training Base for Chinese Language Educators in Portuguese-Speaking Countries and Regions.” Both parties engaged in an exchange session on potential cooperation for talent cultivation, international Chinese language education, and smart education.
